My sweet husband and girls surprised me for my birthday (It was the big one). Cassandra and Deena flew in and then a couple of sisters joined us. It was a exciting time of talking and laughing and laying out on the beach. I ate to much, got burned and thoroughly enjoyed the weekend!!

Here is a picture of us after the Christmas Eve service here in Portland. We picked Deena up from the airport, ate at Olive Garden and then ran by the apartment to dress for service. It was fun for the everyone to meet our girls. It had been a long time since the Sutton kids and the Norris girls had seen one another.

Okay so I'm a bad blogger. I really think all the time that I'll update this sooner and then sooner never comes. Terry came in for his Christmas break and was here for 2 1/2 weeks and Deena came for 5 days. We had a good time although a two bedroom apt was a little different than our big ol'house.
Bro. Lou passed away Monday before Christmas and the funeral was Saturday after Christmas. Terry knew how important it was for me to be able to attend the funeral and so with the help of a friend, I made the trip on Friday and Saturday. Which means that Terry, Deena and Megan were in Portland and I was in Coppell, weird switch.
2008 closed with the loss of some very dear friends. Nola Foster, Dale Shasteen, Randy Maples and Bro. Lou Brown. I have no doubt about where they are right now!

We were able to make the Norris' family Christmas this year. Megan and I drove to Houston on Friday night and met Terry there. Everyone came to Mike & Cathy's house Saturday night for lots of good food and fun. It was, as always great to see everyone! I've put up a picture of Terry with all of his brothers and sisters except his brother Danny. Danny, his wife Beverly and son David didn't make it to the family Christmas. When I looked at this picture I noticed that Terry is the tallest in his family. I never realized that before, although I do have to admit that Danny isn't in the picture and I do think he is as tall as Terry. But I do know that Terry is the best looking:)
