Coppell Sisters

Friday, September 19, 2008, the day before I drove off to Portland my Coppell sisters took me to lunch and spent some time with me. As always we had lots of fun eating at Wonderful World of Cooking (congealed salad - yum yum) and shopping at the shops on the strip of downtown Carrollton. I love my Coppell Sisters!
Megan cheered along with several other alum cheerleaders from CHS at the homecoming game that evening. What a thrill for me. I always loved watching her cheer (living out my childhood dreams). It was really great to see all the girls from her squad and some others. I love high school football and college football, go OSU!

My First Day Surpises!

First we (Terry, Megan and I) drive to Starbucks for Coffee and as we pull out of the drive through I see my name on the church's billboard. I'm embarrassed and glad I have my coffee! By the way directly across the street from the church is the Starbucks, I knew it was a God thing when we visited and saw the location of the Starbucks. Just kidding, but it is nice to have it so close.
Then we go up to my new office and I have the most beautiful bouquet of flowers sent from my "Coppell Sisters." Their the best! I miss everyone in Coppell but I can say that I'm having a great time here. The scenery is beautiful and the people are really nice. Ministry here in Portland is very different from Coppell. I thank God that He put us in a field!

Seth was born September 10th. It was so good to meet my grandson before I left for Portland. I sure do miss Mandy, Clay and baby Seth.

A New Beginning

The announcement has been made and plans are in the works. Team Norris is moving to Portland, TX. I have been called to be the Director of Children's Minstery for First Baptist Church Portland. It is with excitement and great sadness we look forward to this event. FBC Coppell has been our home for so long that going anywhere else seems odd, but God has greater plans and I look forward to the challenges facing us as we move in this new ministry. We invite you to call and stop in to visit us, we'll take you to the beach.
